An electrical circuit is described for detection of an electrical hazard condition of a load 20, in particular of an OLED lighting element comprising driving terminals A, C. An electrical hazard condition, such as an overvoltage or short circuit is to be detected between terminals 22a, 22b of the circuit. A disabling element 24 is connected to one of the terminals 22a, 22b to disable the load. A monitoring circuit is connected to monitor a voltage V or current magnitude at at least one of the terminals 22a, 22b. The monitoring circuit comprises a maximum or minimum value detector 26 to deliver a maximum or minimum value Vmax of the voltage or current magnitude over time. The monitoring circuit is disposed to monitor the maximum or minimum value Vmax to detect the electrical hazard condition. A monitoring circuit is connected to activate the disabling element 24 if an electrical hazard condition is detected. The electrical circuit, a lighting arrangement including an LED or OLED lighting element and the electrical circuit, and a detection method allows to operate a load with different types of power supply, in particular also by PWM.

La présente invention concerne un circuit électrique servant à la détection d'une condition de danger électrique d'une charge (20), en particulier d'un élément d'éclairage à DEL organique comprenant des bornes d'excitation (A, C). Une condition de danger électrique, telle qu'une surtension ou un court-circuit, doit être détectée entre des bornes (22a, 22b) du circuit. Un élément de mise hors fonction (24) est connecté à l'une des bornes (22a, 22b) afin de mettre hors fonction la charge. Un circuit de surveillance est connecté pour surveiller une valeur de tension (V) ou de courant au niveau d'au moins une des bornes (22a, 22b). Le circuit de surveillance comprend un détecteur de valeur maximum ou minimum (26) afin de délivrer une valeur maximum (Vmax) ou minimum de la valeur de tension ou de courant en fonction du temps. Le circuit de surveillance est disposé pour surveiller la valeur maximum (Vmax) ou minimum afin de détecter la condition de danger électrique. Un circuit de surveillance est connecté pour activer l'élément de mise hors fonction (24) si une condition de danger électrique est détectée. Le circuit électrique, un agencement d'éclairage comprenant un élément d'éclairage à DEL ou à DEL organique et le circuit électrique, et un procédé de détection, permettent le fonctionnement d'une charge avec différents types d'alimentation électrique, en particulier par modulation d'impulsions en durée (PWM).
