Abstract
(EN) A method includes printing an image on substrate by a printhead using ultraviolet (UV) curable ink. The method includes selectively applying a first amount of UV radiation by a first region of a light source to a first area of the image after a first amount of time passes from printing the first area to form a first gloss level area having a glossy finish. The method also includes selectively applying a second amount of UV radiation by a second region of the light source to a second area of the image after a second amount of time passes from printing the second area to form a second gloss level area having a matte finish. At least one of the second amount of UV radiation is greater than the first amount of UV radiation and the first amount of time is greater than the second amount of time.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé consistant à imprimer une image sur un substrat par une tête d'impression utilisant une encre durcissable aux ultraviolets (UV). Le procédé consiste à appliquer sélectivement une première quantité de rayonnement UV par une première région d'une source de lumière sur une première zone de l'image après une première durée écoulée depuis l'impression de la première zone pour former une première zone à niveau de brillance ayant une finition brillante. Le procédé consiste également à appliquer sélectivement une seconde quantité de rayonnement UV par une seconde région de la source de lumière sur une seconde zone de l'image après une seconde durée écoulée depuis l'impression de la seconde zone pour former une seconde zone à niveau de brillance ayant une finition mate. Au moins l'une de la seconde quantité de rayonnement UV est supérieure à la première quantité de rayonnement UV et la première durée est supérieure à la seconde durée.
