Abstract
(EN) A method for correcting detected gamma ray spectra for the effects of energy analyzer pileup includes assigning detected gamma rays to channels in a multichannel analyzer (MCA). A pileup spectrum is estimated. The pileup spectrum is subtracted from the measured spectrum. The result thereof is compared to the preceding estimated pileup free spectrum and the estimating the pileup spectrum, subtracting the pileup spectrum and comparing is repeated until the difference between successive estimates of the pileup-free spectrum falls below a selected threshold.
(FR) Selon la présente invention, un procédé de correction de spectres de rayons gamma détectés pour les effets d'empilement d'analyseur d'énergie comprend l'affectation de rayons gamma détectés à des canaux dans un analyseur multicanaux (MCA). Un spectre d'empilement est estimé. Le spectre d'empilement est soustrait du spectre mesuré. Le résultat de celui-ci est comparé au spectre exempt d'empilement estimé précédent et l'estimation du spectre d'empilement, la soustraction du spectre d'empilement et la comparaison sont répétées jusqu'à ce que la différence entre des estimations successives du spectre exempt d'empilement tombe au-dessous d'un seuil sélectionné.
