Abstract

The present application is directed at the reaction product of an azide compound having two or more azide groups attached thereto and an alkyne compound having two or more alkyne groups attached thereto, wherein the azide and alkyne groups react in a 1,3-dipolar cyclo addition to form 1,4- disubstituted triazols and wherein the azide or alkyne compound or both comprise -O-(C=O)-NR- functional groups. The inventive reaction products are suitable as a replacement for conventional polyurethane-based sealing, coating and adhesive materials and provide the benefits, that the final cross-linking reaction proceeds in the absence of isocyanates leading to significantly lower exposition risks than the conventional polyisocyanate-based materials. The present application further relates to the use of these reaction products as coatings, preferably for flat roofs, sealants, adhesives and in elastomer applications. Furthermore, the present application relates to methods for producing the reaction products as well as substrates comprising a coating of said reaction product.

La présente invention concerne le produit de réaction d'un composé azide présentant deux groupes azide ou plus qui y sont attachés et d'un composé alcyne présentant deux groupes alcyne ou plus qui y sont attachés, les groupes azide et alcyne réagissant dans une cycloaddition 1,3-dipolaire pour former des triazoles 1,4-disubstitués et le composé azide ou le composé alcyne ou les deux comprenant des groupes fonctionnels -O-(C=O)-NR-. Les produits de réaction selon l'invention conviennent comme matériaux de remplacement des matériaux d'étanchéité, de revêtement et adhésifs conventionnels à base de polyuréthane et présentent les avantages selon lesquels la réaction de réticulation finale se déroule en l'absence d'isocyanates, ce qui conduit à des risques d'exposition significativement plus bas que les matériaux conventionnels à base de polyisocyanate. La présente invention concerne en outre l'utilisation de ces produits de réaction comme revêtements, de préférence pour toits plats, comme matériaux de revêtement, matériaux d'étanchéité, adhésifs et dans des applications élastomères. De plus, la présente invention concerne des procédés de production des produits de réaction ainsi que des substrats comprenant un revêtement dudit produit de réaction.
