Abstract
(DE) Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Aufreinigung von Katalysatorrückstände enthaltenden Abströmen aus Anlagen zur Herstellung carbocyclisch-aromatischer Mono- oder Polycarbonsäuren oder heterocyclisch-aromatischer Mono- oder Polycarbonsäuren durch Oxidation von Alkyl-, Hydroxyalkyl-, Alkoxyalkyl-, Aldehyd- und/oder Carbonsäureestergruppen enthaltenden Vorläufern dieser Mono- oder Polycarbonsäuren in Gegenwart von Schwermetallkationen enthaltenden Katalysatoren. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass mindestens ein Abstrom aus dem Oxidationsprozess mit einem chelatisierenden Ionenaustauscher in Kontakt gebracht wird, welcher ausgewählte Schwermetallkationen selektiv aus dem Abstrom entfernt, so dass die Katalysatorbestandteile in den Prozess zurückgeführt werden können, was den Bedarf an Frischkatalysator verringert. Das Verfahren gestattet eine sehr effiziente Entfernung von toxischen und/oder teuren Schwermetallkationen aus dem Abstrom.
(EN) Disclosed is a method for purifying effluents, which contain catalyser residues, from installations for producing carbocyclically aromatic mono- or polycarboxylic acids or heterocyclically aromatic mono- or polycarboxylic acids by oxidating precursors of said mono- or polycarboxylic acids, which contain alkyl-, hydroxyalkyl-, alkoxyalkyl-, aldehyde- and/or carboxylic acid ester groups, in the presence of catalysers which contain heavy metal cations. The method is characterised in that at least one effluent from the oxidation process is brought into contact with a chelating ion exchanger that removes selected heavy metal cations selectively from the effluent such that the catalyser components can be recycled into the process, thus reducing the need for fresh catalyser. The method allows for the very efficient removal of toxic and/or expensive heavy metal cations from the effluent.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé d'épuration d'effluents contenant des résidus de catalyseurs provenant d'installations de production d'acides mono- ou polycarboxyliques carbocycloaromatiques ou d'acides mono- ou polycarboxyliques hétérocycloaromatiques par oxydation de précurseurs de ces acides mono- ou polycarboxyliques contenant des groupes ester d'alkyle, hydroxyalkyle, alcoxyalkyle, aldéhyde et/ou acide carboxylique en présence de catalyseurs contenant des cations de métaux lourds. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'au moins un effluent du processus d'oxydation est mis en contact avec un échangeur d'ions chélatant qui élimine sélectivement des cations de métaux lourds choisis de l'effluent afin de pouvoir recycler les composants du catalyseur dans le processus et réduire ainsi le besoin en catalyseur frais. Le procédé permet d'éliminer très efficacement les cations de métaux lourds toxiques et/ou coûteux de l'effluent.
