Abstract
(EN) A system for attenuating sound emissions from an inlet to a flow path for an air inducting machine including an inlet duct structure having inlet and outlet passages. A planar vortex generator is located adjacent to the outlet passage and creates vortices that interact with a specific tonal acoustic frequency emitted from the inlet of the machine to effect formation of a standing wave at the vortex generator. The standing wave has an upstream propagating component that reflects off an acoustic reflector wall to form a reflected component that interferes with the upstream propagating component to attenuate the specific tonal acoustic frequency from the inlet of the machine.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un système pour atténuer des émissions sonores à partir d'une entrée jusqu'à une trajectoire d'écoulement pour une machine d'induction d'air comprenant une structure de conduit d'entrée ayant des passages d'entrée et de sortie. Un générateur de tourbillons plan est disposé au voisinage du passage de sortie, et crée des tourbillons qui interagissent avec une fréquence acoustique tonale spécifique émise à partir de l'entrée de la machine afin de produire la formation d'une onde stationnaire au niveau du générateur de tourbillons. L'onde stationnaire a une composante de propagation amont qui se réfléchit à partir d'une paroi de réflecteur acoustique pour former une composante réfléchie qui interfère avec la composante de propagation amont de façon à atténuer la fréquence acoustique tonale spécifique à partir de l'entrée de la machine.
