Abstract
(EN) Provided is a driving support device that: provides information from signs for a road upon which a vehicle is traveling, when the vehicle approaches a sign arranged in the vicinity of a plurality of roads; and suppresses the provision of information from signs that are not for the road upon with the vehicle is traveling. This driving support device detects signs from a video obtained from an imaging device mounted to the vehicle traveling the road, and includes: information displayed by the detected sign, being the sign that was detected; a sign recognition means that recognizes a first relative position, being the position of the detected sign relative to the road; a map data storage means that stores a second relative position, being the position of the sign relative to the road; a sign position determination means that determines the conformity between the detected sign and the map sign being a sign having the second relative position thereof stored by the map data storage means, said determination being made by determining the conformity between the second relative position and the first relative position; and an output means that outputs the information displayed by the detected sign, if a determination has been made that the detected sign and the map sign match.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'aide à la conduite qui effectue les étapes suivantes : fournir des informations à partir de panneaux pour une route sur laquelle se déplace un véhicule, lorsque le véhicule approche un panneau placé au voisinage d'une pluralité de routes ; et supprimer la fourniture d'informations provenant de panneaux qui ne concernent pas la route sur laquelle se déplace le véhicule. Le dispositif d'aide à la conduite détecte les panneaux à partir d'une vidéo obtenue d'un dispositif d'imagerie, monté sur le véhicule qui se déplace sur la route et comprend : des informations affichées par le panneau détecté, à savoir le panneau qui a été détecté ; un moyen de reconnaissance de panneau qui reconnaît une première position relative, à savoir la position du panneau détecté par rapport à la route ; un moyen de mémorisation de données de carte, qui mémorise une seconde position relative, à savoir la position du panneau par rapport à la route ; un moyen de détermination de position de panneau, qui détermine la conformité entre le panneau détecté et le panneau de la carte, à savoir un panneau dont la seconde position relative est mémorisée par le moyen de mémorisation de données de carte, la détermination étant effectuée par la détermination de la conformité entre la seconde position relative et la première position relative ; et un moyen de sortie, qui produit les informations affichées par le panneau détecté, s'il a été déterminé que le panneau détecté et le panneau de la carte correspondent.
