Abstract
(EN) Method and apparatus overcoming gas-lock in reciprocating downhole pumps. On the downstroke of a plunger in a barrel, gassy fluid is compressed in the pump chamber between standing and travelling valves. Downhole plunger movement drags a sleeve over a mandrel for opening a chamber valve to a staging chamber located at a downhole end of the travelling valve for receiving at least a portion of the compressed and gassy fluid therein. On the upstroke, the chamber valve is dragged closed for sealably retaining the compressed gassy fluid therein while drawing an additional increment of fluid through the standing valve into the pump chamber. Continued downstroke and upstroke cycles increases pressure of the compressed gassy fluid in the pump chamber until it exceeds the hydrostatic head above the travelling valve for resumption of normal fluid pumping.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un procédé et un appareil destinés à surmonter un blocage de gaz dans des pompes de fond à mouvement alternatif. Lors de la course descendante d'un plongeur dans un cylindre, un fluide gazeux est comprimé dans la chambre de pompe entre des soupapes immobile et mobile. Le mouvement de plongeur de fond attire une douille sur un mandrin pour ouvrir une soupape de chambre sur une chambre de butée située à une extrémité de fond de la soupape mobile, pour recevoir au moins une partie du fluide comprimé et gazeux à l'intérieur de celle-ci. Lors de la course montante, la soupape de chambre est attirée en position fermée pour retenir de façon étanche le fluide gazeux comprimé à l'intérieur de celle-ci, tout en attirant un incrément supplémentaire de fluide à travers la soupape fixe dans la chambre de pompe. La suite des cycles de course descendante et de course montante accroît une pression du fluide gazeux comprimé dans la chambre de pompe jusqu'à ce qu'elle excède la charge hydrostatique régnant au-dessus de la soupape mobile de façon à assurer la reprise du pompage normal de fluide.
