Abstract
(EN) A method of manufacturing an optical fibre preform comprising: providing a glass core rod comprising a central core region of radius a and an inner clad region of external radius b to define a first core-to-clad ratio a/b; forming an intermediate glass preform comprising an intermediate clad region surrounding the inner clad region of the glass rod and having an external radius c to define a second core-to-clad ratio a/c, and overcladding the intermediate glass preform by forming an overclad region surrounding the intermediate clad region to form an optical fibre preform, wherein the first core-to-clad ratio a/b is equal to or less than 0.40 and the second core-to-clad ratio a/c is of from 0.20 to 0.25.
(FR) Un procédé de fabrication d'une préforme de fibre optique consiste en ce qui suit : fournir une tige de noyau de verre comprenant une région de noyau centrale possédant un rayon "a" et une région de gaine interne possédant un rayon externe "b" pour définir un premier rapport noyau-gaine a/b; former une préforme en verre intermédiaire qui comprend une région de gaine intermédiaire entourant la zone de gaine intérieure de la tige de verre et possédant un rayon externe "c" pour définir un deuxième rapport noyau-gaine a/c ; et réaliser une gaine supplémentaire de la préforme de verre intermédiaire par formation d'une région de gaine supplémentaire entourant la région de gaine intermédiaire de manière à former une préforme de fibre optique, le premier rapport noyau-gaine a/b étant égal ou inférieur à 0,40 et le deuxième rapport noyau-gaine a/c étant de 0,20 à 0,25.
