Abstract
(EN) There are provided a system and method for determining concentration level of a viewer by modeling an extent to which the viewer is at least one of engaged by and interested in displayed video content. The system includes a view status detector for extracting at least one viewer status feature with respect to the displayed video content, a content analyzer for extracting at least one content characteristic feature with respect to the displayed video content, and a feature comparer for comparing the viewer status and content characteristic features as a feature pair, to produce an estimate of a concentration level associated with the feature pair. The system additionally includes a combiner for combining concentration levels for different feature pairs into an overall concentration level of the viewer for the displayed content.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de déterminer un niveau de concentration d'un observateur en modélisant la mesure dans laquelle l'observateur est passionné et/ou intéressé par le contenu vidéo affiché. Le système comprend un détecteur d'état d'observation pour extraire au moins une caractéristique d'état d'observateur relativement au contenu vidéo affiché, un analyseur de contenu pour extraire au moins un élément caractéristique de contenu relativement à la vidéo affichée, et un comparateur de caractéristiques pour comparer l'état de l'observateur et les éléments caractéristiques de contenu en tant que paire de caractéristiques, pour produire une estimation d'un niveau de concentration associé à la paire de caractéristiques. Le système comprend en outre un combinateur servant à combiner des niveaux de concentration pour différentes paires de caractéristiques en un niveau de concentration global de l'observateur pour le contenu affiché.
