Abstract
(EN) A wrist-worn input device that is used in augmented reality (AR) operates in three modes of operation. In a first mode of operation, the input device is curved so that it may be worn on a user's wrist. A touch surface receives letters gestured or selections by the user. In a second mode of operation, the input device is flat and used as a touch surface for more complex single or multi-hand interactions. A sticker defining one or more locations on the touch surface that corresponds a user's input, such as a character, number or intended operation, may be affixed to the touch surface. The sticker may be interchanged with different stickers based on a mode of operation, user's preference and/or particular AR experience. In a third mode of operation, the input device receives biometric input from biometric sensors. The biometric input may provide contextual information in an AR experience while allowing the user to have their hands free.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'entrée, porté au poignet et utilisé en réalité augmentée (AR), qui fonctionne dans trois modes de fonctionnement. Dans un premier mode de fonctionnement, le dispositif d'entrée est courbé pour pouvoir être porté sur le poignet d'un utilisateur. Une surface tactile reçoit des lettres exprimées par des gestes ou des sélections par l'utilisateur. Dans un deuxième mode de fonctionnement, le dispositif d'entrée est plat et utilisé comme surface tactile pour des interactions à une seule ou à plusieurs mains plus complexes. Un autocollant, définissant un ou plusieurs emplacements sur la surface tactile qui correspondent à une entrée de l'utilisateur, telle qu'un caractère, un numéro ou une opération voulue, peut être fixé à la surface tactile. L'autocollant peut être remplacé par des autocollants différents sur la base d'un mode de fonctionnement, d'une préférence de l'utilisateur et/ou d'une expérience AR particulière. Dans un troisième mode de fonctionnement, le dispositif d'entrée reçoit une entrée biométrique provenant de capteurs biométriques. L'entrée biométrique peut fournir des informations contextuelles dans une expérience AR tout en permettant à l'utilisateur de garder les mains libres.
