Abstract
(EN) Disclosed herein are mono or di-succinate compounds where one or both of the acid groups in the succinate core are protected in the form of biologically labile moieties, and the use of said compounds to enhance mitochondrial function. The compounds may be of formula (I) wherein R1 is H or an optionally substituted alkyl group or a group of formula (II) and R2 is independently a group according to formula (II) where formula (II) is as defined 10 herein.
(FR) La présente invention porte sur des composés monosuccinates ou disuccinates, l'un des groupes acides ou les deux groupes acides présents dans la fraction succinate étant protégés sous la forme de fractions biologiquement labiles, et sur l'utilisation desdits composés pour accroître la fonction mitochondriale. Les composés peuvent être représentés par la formule (I) dans laquelle R1 représente H, un groupe alkyle éventuellement substitué ou un groupe de formule (II) et R2 représente indépendamment un groupe répondant à la formule (II), la formule (II) étant telle que définie dans la description.
