Abstract:
(EN) Methods and systems for detection of a construction zone sign are described. A computing device, configured to control the vehicle, may be configured to receive, from an image-capture device coupled to the computing device, images of a vicinity of the road on which the vehicle is travelling. Also, the computing device may be configured to determine image portions in the images that may depict sides of the road at a predetermined height range. Further, the computing device may be configured to detect a construction zone sign in the image portions, and determine a type of the construction zone sign. Accordingly, the computing device may be configured to modify a control strategy associated with a driving behavior of the vehicle; and control the vehicle based on the modified control strategy.
(FR) L'invention porte sur des procédés et sur des systèmes pour la détection d'un signal de zone en construction. Un dispositif informatique, configuré de façon à commander le véhicule, peut être configuré de façon à recevoir, à partir d'un dispositif de capture d'image couplé au dispositif informatique, des images d'un voisinage de la route sur laquelle se déplace le véhicule. Egalement, le dispositif informatique peut être configuré de façon à déterminer des parties d'image, dans les images, qui peuvent représenter des côtés de la route à une plage de hauteur prédéterminée. De plus, le dispositif informatique peut être configuré de façon à détecter un signal de zone de construction dans les parties d'image, et à déterminer un type du signal de zone de construction. Par conséquent, le dispositif informatique peut être configuré de façon à modifier une stratégie de commande associée à un comportement de conduite du véhicule ; et à commander le véhicule sur la base de la stratégie de commande modifiée.
