Abstract

Communication between a Radio Equipment Control (REC) and a Radio Equipment (RE) in a wireless network uses a Common Public Radio Interface connection. When the Radio Equipment Control and the Radio Equipment are located remote from each other, and are connected by an asymmetric transport network, such as an Optical Transport Network, path delay data is transmitted in the Common Public Radio Interface data frames. This allows the CPRI end nodes to correct for path delay asymmetry using the path delay data.

La présente invention concerne la communication entre un dispositif de commande d'équipement radio (REC) et un équipement radio (RE) au sein d'un réseau sans fil qui utilise une connexion d'interface radio publique commune. Lorsque le dispositif de commande d'équipement radio et l'équipement radio sont situés à distance l'un de l'autre et sont connectés par un réseau de transport asymétrique tel qu'un réseau de transport optique, des données de retard de trajet sont transmises dans les trames de données de l'interface radio publique commune. Ceci permet aux nœuds d'extrémité CPRI de corriger l'asymétrie de retard de trajet en utilisant les données de retard de trajet.
