Disclosed is a method for synchronizing video in a system including a host CPU and a plurality of transcoder instances, the method comprising: receiving, by two or more transcoder instances in the plurality of transcoder instances, a synchronization Internet Protocol ("IP") packet from the host CPU, wherein the synchronization IP packet is received as one packet in a multicast stream of IP packets; detecting, by the two or more transcoder instances in the plurality of transcoder instances, the synchronization IP packet at the same point in the multicast stream; and transcoding, by the two or more transcoder instances in the plurality of transcoder instances, the multicast stream of IP packets immediately after detecting the synchronization IP packet.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour synchroniser une vidéo dans un système comprenant un CPU hôte et une pluralité d'instances de transcodage, le procédé comprenant : recevoir, par au moins deux instances de transcodage dans la pluralité d'instances de transcodage, un paquet de protocole Internet (« IP ») de synchronisation d'un CPU hôte, où le paquet IP de synchronisation est reçu comme un paquet dans un flux de multidiffusion de paquets IP; détecter, par les au moins deux instances de transcodage dans la pluralité d'instances de transcodage, le paquet IP de synchronisation au même point dans le flux multidiffusion; et transcoder, par les au moins deux instances de transcodage dans la pluralité d'instances de transcodage, le flux de multidiffusion des paquets IP immédiatement après une détection du paquet IP de synchronisation.
