A system for optical coherence tomography includes a source of optical radiation, an optical fiber, and a graded index fiber attached to a distal end of the optical fiber. The optical fiber and the graded index fiber are together configured to provide a common path for optical radiation reflected from a reference interface at a distal end of the graded index fiber and from a target.

La présente invention porte sur un système pour tomographie à cohérence optique qui comprend une source de rayonnement optique, une fibre optique et une fibre à gradient d'indice fixée à une extrémité distale de la fibre optique. La fibre optique et la fibre à gradient d'indice sont configurées conjointement afin de fournir un trajet commun pour un rayonnement optique réfléchi par une interface de référence au niveau d'une extrémité distale de la fibre à gradient d'indice et par une cible.
