Abstract
(EN) An electrical connector (10) of elongate shape comprises a main body (11) having a first end region (18) which comprises one or more electrical contacts in use for contact with a complementary connector component and a second end region (24) opposite said first end region and from which depends a protective guide (12) through which a flexible conductor may extend, said main body of the connector comprising a locking mechanism (20) whereby, in use, the connector (10) may be selectively releasably secured to a complementary connector component, and the connector (10) comprising a release control (14) operable to act on the locking mechanism and allow release of the connector from the complementary connector component, wherein said release control (14) is operable at a position further from the first end (18) of the connector than said second end (24) as considered in the direction of the length of the connector.
(FR) L'invention concerne un connecteur électrique (10) de forme allongée, qui comprend un corps principal (11) possédant une première région d'extrémité (18) qui comporte un ou plusieurs contacts électriques utilisés pour établir le contact avec un élément connecteur complémentaire et une seconde région d'extrémité (24), opposée à ladite première région d'extrémité et dont part un guide de protection (12) au travers duquel peut passer un conducteur flexible. Le corps principal du connecteur comprend un mécanisme de verrouillage (20) si bien que, en service, le connecteur (10) peut être sélectivement fixé, de manière amovible, sur un élément connecteur complémentaire. Le connecteur (10) comprend une commande de libération (14) en mesure d'agir sur le mécanisme de verrouillage et de permettre la libération du connecteur de l'élément connecteur complémentaire. La commande de libération (14) peut fonctionner dans une position plus éloignée de la première extrémité (18) du connecteur que ladite seconde extrémité (24), telle que considérée dans la direction longitudinale du connecteur.
