Abstract:
(EN) A method of forming a stent (10) includes forming a wave form (12) from a formable material. The wave form includes a plurality of substantially straight portions (18) and a plurality of curved portions (20), each curved portion (20) connecting adjacent substantially straight portions (18). The method includes wrapping the wave form (12) around a mandrel (30) at an angle a to form a helical coil comprising a plurality of turns (22), connecting a first curved portion (20a) of a first turn (22a) to an adjacent second curved portion (20b) of a second turn (22b) at a position along the wave form to define an end of the stent (10), and removing excess material (15) from an end of the wave form (12) extending past the first curved portion (20a) while smoothing the end of the stent (10).
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de formation d'une endoprothèse (10) comprenant la formation d'une forme d'onde (12) à partir d'un matériau façonnable. Selon l'invention, la forme d'onde comprend une pluralité de parties sensiblement rectilignes (18) et une pluralité de parties courbées (20), chaque partie courbée (20) reliant les parties sensiblement rectilignes adjacentes (18). Le procédé fait appel à l'enroulement de la forme d'onde (12) autour d'un mandrin (30) à un certain angle pour former une bobine hélicoïdale comprenant une pluralité de tours (22), à la liaison d'une première partie courbée (20a) d'un premier tour (22a) à une seconde partie courbée adjacente (20b) d'un second tour (22b) à une position sur la longueur de la forme d'onde pour définir une extrémité de l'endoprothèse (10), et à la suppression du matériau en excès (15) d'une extrémité de la forme d'onde (12) s'étendant au-delà de la première partie courbée (20a) tout en lissant l'extrémité de l'endoprothèse (10).
