(EN) A composition for electrolyte membranes, which contains a polymer (A) that has an ion exchange group and a compound (B1) that is soluble in an organic solvent and has a group (B') represented by formula (B') and a number average molecular weight of 500 or more. (In the formula, each of ring A and ring B independently represents a group having a cyclic structure; each of RI and RII independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkyl group having 1-12 carbon atoms, an alkylthio group having 1-12 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 1-12 carbon atoms; L represents a direct bond, an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; and each of aI and aII independently represents an integer of 0-6.)
