An organic EL element (1) is provided with the following: a positive electrode (2) and a negative electrode (6); a buffer layer (4); and a hole-injection layer (3) that is provided between the positive electrode (2) and the buffer layer (4) and contains oxides of nickel, which can have both a first valence, namely +3, and a second valence, namely +2. In this case, the conductivity of the oxide of Ni3+ is higher than the conductivity of the oxide of Ni2+. There are at least 60% as many Ni3+ atoms as there are Ni2+ atoms in the hole-injection layer (3).

L'invention concerne un élément électroluminescent organique (1) comprenant les éléments suivants : une électrode positive (2) et une électrode négative (6) ; une couche tampon (4) ; et une couche d'injection de trou (3) qui est disposée entre l'électrode positive (2) et la couche tampon (4) et contient des oxydes de nickel, qui peuvent avoir à la fois une première valence, à savoir +3, et une seconde valence, à savoir +2. Dans ce cas, la conductivité de l'oxyde de Ni3+ est supérieure à la conductivité de l'oxyde de Ni2+. Il y a au moins 60 % d'atomes de Ni3+ qu'il n'y a d'atomes de Ni2+ dans la couche d'injection de trous (3).

有機EL素子1は、陽極2および陰極6と、バッファ層4と、陽極2とバッファ層4との間に設けられ、第1の価数である+3および第2の価数である+2を取り得るNiの酸化物NiOを含むホール注入層3とを備える。ここで、Ni3+の酸化物の導電性は、Ni2+の酸化物の導電性よりも大きい。また、ホール注入層3中において、Ni2+の原子数に対する、Ni3+の原子数の比は60%以上である。
