Abstract

The present invention discloses an electrochemical process for water splitting for production of oxygen using porous Co3O4 nanorods with a considerably low overpotential and high exchange current density. The present invention further discloses a simple, industrially feasible process of for preparation of said nanostructured porous cobalt oxide catalyst thereof.

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé électrochimique pour permettre la dissociation de l'eau pour la production d'oxygène à l'aide de nanotiges de Co3O4 poreuses présentant une très faible surtension et une densité de courant d'échange élevée. La présente invention se rapporte en outre à un procédé, simple et réalisable au plan industriel, de préparation d'un catalyseur d'oxyde de cobalt poreux nanostructuré associé.
