A method for reusing excess oxygen and recycling carbon dioxide in a supercritical water oxidation system comprises the following steps : 1) an effluent from a supercritical water oxidation reactor (8) exchanging heat with a heat exchanger (1) and then entering a high pressure gas-liquid separator (2), and an upper fluid, as a hot fluid medium, sequentially entering a heat exchanger coil (3) in a purification tower (5) and a condenser (4) outside the purification tower (5), so as to make the fluid temperature be lower than the liquefaction temperature of carbon dioxide; 2) the fluid from an outlet of the condenser (4) entering the purification tower (5), liquid carbon dioxide at the bottom of the tower exchanging heat with the fluid from an outlet of the high pressure gas-liquid separator (2) through the heat exchanger coil (3) to purify the carbon dioxide, and bottling and recycling the liquid carbon dioxide from an outlet at the bottom of the tower; 3) a fluid in gas phase from the top of the purification tower (5) entering an oxygen buffer tank (6), and then entering the supercritical water oxidation reactor (8) through a high pressure oxygen compressor (7) after being mixed with oxygen provided by the supercritical water oxidation system, so as to reuse the oxygen. The method is widely applicable to supercritical water oxidation treatment systems for organic wastewater/wastes.
