Abstract:
A blood pressure gauge comprises: an occluding cuff, an air pump, a discharge valve, a pressure sensor, air conduits, a MEMS microphone and a controller. The occluding cuff comprises an air pocket. The air pump is used for inflating and pressurizing the air pocket. The discharge valve is used for deflating and depressurizing the air pocket. The pressure sensor is used for detecting the pressure of the air pocket. The air pocket, the air pump, the discharge valve and the pressure sensor are connected by the air conduits to form an air loop to provide air transporting in the air pocket, the air pump, the discharge valve and the pressure sensor. The MEMS microphone for detecting Korotkoff sounds carried through the air is positioned at a particular point on the air loop. The controller is used for monitoring and controlling the air pump, the discharge valve, the pressure sensor and the MEMS microphone.
