Abstract:
(EN) A rotor controlled continuously variable transmission includes a rotor (28)mounted for axial movement on a shaft (30) which has a longitudinal axis, rotor follower units (16a, 16b) which act against an outer surface (OS) of the rotor (28) and rocker arm units (14a, 14b) which transmit rotational drive from the rotor follower units (16a, 16b) to an output transmission (20), wherein the components are configured so that forces produced by the rotor follower units on the rotor have a resultant component on the rotor (28) which is always in one direction along the axis, to prevent backlash, wherein the rotor follower units (16a, 16b) are continuously biased in the same direction and wherein radial movement of the rotor follower units (16a, 16b) relative to the longitudinal axis is converted in a linear fashion to angular displacement of the rocker arm units (14a, 14b).
(FR) Une transmission à variation continue commandée par rotor comprend un rotor (28) monté pour un mouvement axial sur un arbre (30) possédant un axe longitudinal, des unités formant suiveurs de rotor (16a, 16b) qui agissent par rapport à une surface externe (OS) du rotor (28) et des unités formant culbuteurs (14a, 14b) qui transmettent l'entraînement en rotation des unités formant suiveurs de rotor (16a, 16b) à une transmission de sortie (20), les composants étant configurés de telle sorte que les forces produites par les unités formant suiveurs du rotor sur le rotor ont une composante résultante sur le rotor (28) qui est toujours dans une direction le long de l'axe, pour empêcher un recul, les unités formant suiveurs de rotor (16a, 16b) étant sollicitées en continu dans la même direction et le mouvement radial des unités formant suiveurs de rotor (16a, 16b) par rapport à l'axe longitudinal étant converti de manière linéaire en un déplacement angulaire des unités formant suiveurs de rotor (14a, 14b).
