(EN) A heat exchanger (10) for transferring heat between two fluids consists of a shell (28) surrounding at least two tube bundles (34, 50, 60) attached at both ends to a tube header (16). Each of the tube bundles (34, 50, 60) is constructed from a plurality of individual tubes that are twisted into identical helixes formed about a common helical axis. Because each individual tube is formed in the shape of a helix, rather than as a straight tube, thermal elongation of the individual tubes results in a considerably reduced axial force on the tube attachments and tube header (16). Use of multiple tube bundles (34, 50, 60) wound with opposite twist direction improves spacing efficiency between tubes.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un échangeur de chaleur (10) permettant de transférer la chaleur entre deux fluides, composé d'une enveloppe (28) entourant au moins deux faisceaux de tubes (34, 50, 60) fixés aux deux extrémités d'un collecteur de tubes (16). Chacun des faisceaux de tubes (34, 50, 60) est composé d'une pluralité de tubes individuels qui sont tordus pour former des hélices identiques formées autour d'un axe hélicoïdal commun. Chaque tube individuel ayant la forme d'une hélice, plutôt que sous la forme d'un tube droit, l'allongement thermique des tubes individuels entraîne une force axiale considérablement réduite sur les fixations de tubes et le collecteur de tube (16). L'utilisation de plusieurs faisceaux de tubes (34, 50, 60) enroulés dans un sens de torsion opposé améliore l'efficacité d'espacement entre les tubes.
