Abstract:

(EN)Systems and methods for reducing an overpressure caused by an explosion of a vapor cloud are provided. In one or more embodiments, the system can include one or more sensors operable to detect the explosion of the vapor cloud. The system can also include one or more igniters operable to ignite the vapor cloud at locations throughout, after the explosion of the vapor cloud is detected, to provide a discrete combustion zone at each location. Each combustion zone can form a discrete pressure wave, thereby reducing the overpressure caused by the explosion of the vapor cloud.
(FR)L'invention concerne des systèmes et procédés permettant de réduire une surpression causée par une explosion d'un nuage de vapeur. Dans un ou plusieurs modes de réalisation, le système peut comprendre un ou plusieurs capteurs servant à détecter l'explosion du nuage de vapeur. Le système peut également comprendre un ou plusieurs allumeurs servant à allumer le nuage de vapeur en des emplacements dans celui-ci, une fois que l'explosion du nuage vapeur est détectée, pour la mise en œuvre d'une zone de combustion discrète au niveau de chaque emplacement. Chaque zone de combustion peut former une onde de pression discrète, pour ainsi réduire la surpression causée par l'explosion du nuage de vapeur.
