According to a first aspect, the invention relates to a method for controlling an electrowetting optical device comprising: applying a direct current voltage or an alternative current voltage having a frequency f lower than 10 Hz to a liquid/liquid interface formed by a non-conductive liquid (4) and a conductive liquid (5) and movable by electrowetting under the application of the voltage, wherein the conductive liquid (5) comprises at least one multivalent salt.

La présente invention se rapporte, selon un premier aspect, à un procédé permettant de commander un dispositif d'électromouillage optique, ledit procédé consistant à : appliquer une tension continue ou une tension alternative qui présente une fréquence (f) inférieure à 10 Hz à une interface liquide/liquide formée par un liquide non conducteur (4) et un liquide conducteur (5) et mobile par électromouillage lors de l'application de la tension, le liquide conducteur (5) comprenant au moins un sel multivalent.
