Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a uni-directional or bi-directional gate valve comprising an improved seating structure to maintain a fluid-tight seal between an external valve cavity (12) and the upstream and/or downstream portion of a valve bore (10), regardless of pressure differentials between the three. Annular seat members (24, 26) of the gate valve are provided within corresponding recesses (20, 22) in the valve body (10). A dynamic sealing member (38) is provided between each seat member and each recess. The radial position of the dynamic sealing member (38) relative to protruding sealing faces (28, 30) of the annular seat members creates a net force (F) which always acts in the direction of the valve gate (14) to provide an effective seal, even during in-service testing of seal integrity.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un robinet-vanne unidirectionnel ou bidirectionnel, qui comprend une structure de siège améliorée permettant de maintenir un joint étanche aux fluides entre une cavité de vanne (12) externe et la partie en amont et/ou en aval de l'orifice de robinet (10), quels que soient les différentiels de pression entre ces trois éléments. Des éléments de siège (24, 26) annulaires du robinet-vanne sont prévus dans des évidements (20, 22) correspondants du corps de robinet (10). Un élément d'étanchéité (38) dynamique est prévu entre chaque élément siège et chaque évidement. La position radiale de l'élément d'étanchéité dynamique (38) par rapport aux faces d'étanchéité saillantes (28, 30) des éléments de siège annulaires produit une force nette (F), qui agit toujours dans la direction du robinet-vanne (14) de manière à former un joint étanche efficace, même pendant des essais d'intégrité d'étanchéité en service.
