Abstract

Adaptive rail power amplifier technology processes an audio signal by feeding the audio signal to the power amplifier to produce an output signal, applying positive and negative power supply voltages centered with respect to the audio signal to the positive and negative power supply rails of the power amplifier, comparing the output signal with the positive and negative power supply rail voltages to produce dynamically varying positive and negative control signals, feeding the positive and negative control signals to positive and negative high current charge pumps and adding supplemental positive and negative voltages from the positive and negative charge pumps to the positive and negative power supply rails to produce a linear adaptive rail voltage which tracks the output signal.

La présente invention a trait à une technologie d'amplificateur de puissance de rail adaptatif qui traite un signal audio grâce aux étapes consistant à fournir le signal audio à l'amplificateur de puissance en vue de produire un signal de sortie, à appliquer des tensions d'alimentation électrique positive et négative centrées par rapport au signal audio sur les rails d'alimentation électrique positif et négatif de l'amplificateur de puissance, à comparer le signal de sortie avec les tensions de rail d'alimentation électrique positive et négative en vue de produire des signaux de commande positif et négatif variant de façon dynamique, à fournir les signaux de commande positif et négatif à des pompes de charge à haute tension positive et négative et à ajouter des tensions positive et négative supplémentaires à partir des pompes de charge positive et négative jusqu'aux rails d'alimentation électrique positif et négatif en vue de produire une tension de rail adaptatif linéaire qui suit le signal de sortie.
