Abstract:
(EN) A method is provided for synthesizing PLA/apatite composites with improved mechanical strength. In one aspect, a calcium-phosphate/phosphonate hybrid shell is developed to incorporate more reactive hydroxyl groups onto hydroxyapatite (HA) particles. PLA is covalently bonded to HA calcium phosphate hybrid shell, creating a strong interphase between HA and PLA, thus significantly improve the mechanical strength in comparison to that of non-modified HA.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de synthétiser des composites PLA/apatite présentant une meilleure résistance mécanique. Dans un aspect, une coque hybride à base de phosphate/phosphonate de calcium est formée de façon à incorporer davantage de groupes hydroxyle réactif sur des particules d'hydroxyapatite (HA). Le PLA est lié par liaison covalente à la coque hybride à base de phosphate de calcium-HA, ce qui crée une forte interphase entre la HA et le PLA et améliore significativement la résistance mécanique par rapport à celle d'une HA non modifiée.
