The present invention allows for a lighting field to be set to a position corresponding to an imaging site of a subject with a simple operation even if it is difficult to suitably position the imaging site and an image detection unit. A console (21) acquires the amount of displacement of an X-ray source (16) from a displacement amount detection unit (19). If an imaging site and an electronic cassette (20) having an image detection unit (35) are not suitably positioned, the position of the X-ray source (16) is altered in conformity with the position of the imaging site. A lighting field position determination unit (97) identifies the current relative position between the X-ray source (16) and the electronic cassette (20) having the image detection unit (35), on the basis of the amount of displacement. The lighting field position determination unit (97) determines the position of the lighting field in accordance with the identified current relative position.
