Provided is a method for dehydrating 2-chloroethanol by a catalytic reaction dependent on a solid acid catalyst to produce vinyl chloride monomer, the method for producing vinyl chloride monomer being one wherein the solid acid catalyst is a hydrogen-type zeolite, and the hydrogen-type zeolite is obtained by heating ammonium-type zeolite in an inert gas and then directly lowering the temperature of the zeolite in an atmosphere of an inert gas.

Cette invention concerne un procédé de déshydratation d'un 2-chloroéthanol par une réaction catalytique dépendant d'un catalyseur d'acide solide pour obtenir un monomère de chlorure de vinyle, le procédé de production du monomère de chlorure de vinyle selon l'invention étant un procédé où le catalyseur d'acide solide est une zéolithe de type hydrogène, et la zéolithe de type hydrogène est obtenue par chauffage d'une zéolithe de type ammonium dans un gaz inerte, puis abaissement direct de la température de la zéolithe dans une atmosphère de gaz inerte.
