Abstract:
(EN) The objective of the present invention is to provide a display device that is provided with a power source circuit able to supply current necessary to drive a large display panel or the like, and that can also support a reduction in power consumption resulting from intermittent driving or the like. A power source voltage (VPW1) or the like that is to be supplied to a drive circuit (500) is generated using a DC-DC converter (600) that converts a voltage level by means of altering the current flowing through an inductor by means of the operation of a switching element. By means of generating a mode control signal (Cm) by means of a power source control unit (220) within a display control circuit (200) and applying same to the DC-DC converter (600), the DC-DC converter (600) is caused to operate in a PFM control mode in time periods of low load of the sort of a non-refreshing time period in intermittent driving, and is caused to operate in a PWM control mode in the other time periods.
(FR) L'objet de la présente invention est de réaliser un dispositif d'affichage qui soit doté d'un circuit de source de courant capable de fournir le courant nécessaire à la commande d'un grand panneau d'affichage, ou analogue, et qui puisse également supporter une diminution de consommation de courant résultant d'une commande intermittente, ou analogue. Selon l'invention, une tension de source de courant (VPW1), ou analogue, qui doit être appliquée à un circuit de commande (500) est générée par utilisation d'un convertisseur continu-continu (600) qui convertit un niveau de tension par la modification du courant qui passe par une bobine d'induction du fait du fonctionnement d'un élément de commutation. Le fait de générer un signal de commande de mode (Cm) au moyen d'une unité de commande de source de courant (220) à l'intérieur du circuit de commande d'affichage (200) et de l'appliquer au convertisseur continu-continu (600) amène le convertisseur continu-continu (600) à fonctionner dans un mode de commande PFM pendant des périodes de temps de faible charge du type période de temps sans rafraîchissement de commande intermittente, et à fonctionner dans un mode de commande PWM pendant les autres périodes de temps.
(JA)  本発明は、大型の表示パネル等の駆動に必要な電流を供給できる電源回路を備え間欠駆動等による低消費電力化にも対応できる表示装置を提供することを目的とする。 スイッチング素子の動作によってインダクタに流れる電流を変化させることにより電圧レベルを変換するDC-DCコンバータ(600)を用いて、駆動回路(500)に供給すべき電源電圧VPW1等を生成する。表示制御回路(200)内の電源制御部(220)でモード制御信号Cmを生成してDC-DCコンバータ(600)に与えることにより、DC-DCコンバータ(600)を、間欠駆動における非リフレッシュ期間のように負荷が小さい期間ではPFM制御モードで動作させ、それ以外の期間ではPWM制御モードで動作させる。
