Title: METHOD FOR MOLDING ANNULAR RUBBER MEMBER
Abstract:
Provided is a method for molding an annular rubber member in which it is possible to precisely bond ends together while also minimizing deformation caused by different inner and outer circumferences in bonding together ends of strips of rubber extruded by an extruder to mold same into an annular shape. The invention comprises a step for bringing a mouthpiece (15) closer to a table (50) to begin extruding strips of rubber (S), increasing the amount extruded until a predetermined amount and also gradually separating the mouthpiece (15) from the table (50) until a certain distance; a step for affixing the strips of rubber (S) together in an annular shape while the amount extruded is maintained at the predetermined amount; and a step for reducing the amount extruded from the predetermined amount and bonding ends of the strips of rubber (S) together immediately before the affixation is concluded; and comprises: using the mouthpiece (15), which includes an opening (11), an outer peripheral flow path (12o), and an inner peripheral flow path (12i), to increase or reduce the amount extruded from the mouthpiece (15) by increasing or reducing an outer peripheral rubber flow rate on the outer peripheral flow path (12o) and an inner peripheral rubber flow rate on the inner peripheral flow path (12i); and also bending the extruded strips of rubber (S) by causing the outer peripheral rubber flow rate to be greater than the inner peripheral rubber flow rate.
