In the present invention, in split fuel injection for injecting fuel multiple times into the same cylinder during one cycle, deterioration of driving performance caused by leaning of the air-fuel ratio occurring due to time degradation of a fuel injection valve, etc., is suppressed. An engine control device is provided with the following: a lean cylinder detection means for detecting, as a cylinder in which leaning occurs, a cylinder from among a plurality of cylinders that is leaner than a prescribed value as compared to the air-fuel ratio of other cylinders; and a fuel injection frequency control means for reducing the frequency of fuel injection in the cylinder in which leaning occurs that was detected by the lean cylinder detection means.

La présente invention a pour objet, au cours d'une injection de carburant à débit divisé permettant d'injecter du carburant plusieurs fois dans le même cylindre pendant un cycle, de supprimer la détérioration de la performance de conduite provoquée par l'appauvrissement du rapport air-carburant se produisant en raison de la dégradation dans le temps d'une soupape d'injection de carburant, etc. La présente invention concerne un dispositif de commande de moteur pourvu des éléments suivants : un moyen de détection de cylindre appauvri pour détecter, en tant que cylindre dans lequel se produit un appauvrissement, un cylindre parmi une pluralité de cylindres qui est plus appauvri qu'une valeur prescrite par rapport au rapport air-carburant d'autres cylindres ; et un moyen de commande de fréquence d'injection de carburant pour réduire la fréquence d'injection de carburant dans le cylindre dans lequel se produit un appauvrissement qui a été détecté par le moyen de détection de cylindre appauvri.
