Abstract:
The present invention recovers a catalyst from sulfur poisoning while inhibiting costs from increasing and exhaust emission and fuel from deteriorating. An internal combustion engine control device (100) for controlling an internal combustion engine provided with multiple cylinders (201), an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst (220) disposed on an exhaust path (219) connected to the cylinders, and an in-cylinder injection device (360) capable of in-cylinder injecting fuel into each cylinder. The internal combustion engine control device (100) is characterized by having a modification means for modifying the injection mode of the in-cylinder injection device such that the degree of homogeneity of mixed air within each cylinder is lowered when the catalyst is being recovered from sulfur poisoning, and a first control means for controlling the in-cylinder injection device in accordance with the modified injection mode.
