Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a novel method for producing rapamycin by submerged fermentation which comprises cultivating Streptomyces hygroscopicus (CBS 773.72) and mutants thereof. The present invention provides a high yielding mutant culture MTCC5681 from Streptomyces hygroscopicus CBS 773.72. This culture is capable of producing rapamycin more efficiently than the cultures Streptomyces hygroscopicus from sources like ATCC, NRRL etc which have been reported so far.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé de production de rapamycine par fermentation submergée qui comprend la culture de Streptomyces hygroscopicus (CBS 773.72) et des mutants de celui-ci. La présente invention concerne une culture mutante à haut débit MTCC5681 provenant de Streptomyces hygroscopicus CBS 773.72. Cette culture est apte à produire de la rapamycine de façon plus efficace que les cultures de Streptomyces hygroscopicus provenant de sources comme ATCC, NRRL, etc., qui ont été rapportées jusqu'ici.
