Title (EN) TREATMENT OF MITRAL REGURGITATION
(FR) TRAITEMENT DE LA RÉGURGITATION MITRALE
Abstract:
(EN) Provided are minimally invasive methods and kits for reducing a luminal dimension of the mitral annulus of a subject, in order to address mitral regurgitation in the subject. At least one pair of anchor posts are affixed to respective locations on the mitral annulus and drawn together by a tensioner that is drawn between the posts. The length of the annular tissue between the posts is shortened commensurate with the decrease in distance between the posts as a result of tensioning. The vector sum of the tensioned anchor pair or pairs provides at least one reduced luminal dimension.
