Embodiments of methods and apparatus are disclosed for obtaining a phase-contrast digital mammography system and methods for same that can include an x-ray source for radiographic imaging; a beam shaping assembly including a filter or a tunable monochromator, a collimator, a source grating, an x-ray grating interferometer including a phase grating, and an analyzer grating; and an x-ray detector; where the source grating, the phase grating, and the analyzer grating are aligned in such a way that the grating bars of these gratings are parallel to each other.

Selon certains modes de réalisation, la présente invention concerne des procédés et un appareil permettant d'obtenir un système de mammographie numérique par contraste de phase ainsi que des procédés associés pouvant comprendre : une source de rayons X pour imagerie radiographique ; un ensemble de mise en forme de faisceau comprenant un filtre ou un monochromateur réglable, un collimateur, un réseau source, un interféromètre à réseau de rayons X comprenant un réseau de phase, et un réseau analyseur ; et un détecteur de rayons X. Le réseau source, le réseau de phase et le réseau analyseur sont alignés de telle sorte que les barres de réseau desdits réseaux sont parallèles les unes aux autres.
