Title: METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ADDITION AMOUNT OF INTERNAL CHEMICAL AND METHOD FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF SUSPENDED SUBSTANCES
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for controlling the addition amount of an internal chemical, in which it is possible to grasp the concentrations of insoluble suspended substances (SS) and ash and properly regulate the yields thereof according to product brands to thereby attain product quality stabilization and a productivity improvement. The method for controlling the addition amount of an internal chemical comprises: a step in which white water that has been generated in the wire part (55) of a papermaking machine under given operating conditions is collected using a turbidity measurement unit (30); a step in which when the collected white water is stirred, the turbidity of the white water is measured as the turbidity M1 attributable to insoluble suspended substances; a step in which when the collected white water is still, the turbidity of the white water is measured as the turbidity M2 attributable to ash; and a step in which the amount of the internal chemical to be added is regulated on the basis of the measured turbidity attributable to insoluble suspended substances and the measured turbidity attributable to ash.
