Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a microorganism that is genetically modified so as to: i) synthesize a hydrocarbon monomer by fermenting a carbon source; and ii) depolymerize a polymer consisting of at least the hydrocarbon monomer that it is capable of synthesizing. The invention also relates to a method for producing a hydrocarbon monomer using such a genetically modified microorganism, and to the co-culture of said microorganism with another microorganism capable of synthesizing a polymer of interest.
(FR) L'invention concerne un microorganisme génétiquement modifié de manière à i) synthétiser un monomère hydrocarboné par fermentation d'une source de carbone, et ii) dépolymériser un polymère constitué au moins du monomère hydrocarboné qu'il est apte à synthétiser. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production d'un monomère hydrocarboné utilisant un tel microorganisme génétiquement modifié, ainsi que la coculture de ce microorganisme avec un autre microorganisme susceptible de synthétiser un polymère d'intérêt.
