This folding device (190) has a blade member (222) and a folding roller pair (223). The blade member (222) moves from an initial position (HP) to a protrusion position (TP), whereby the paper sheet (T) is pushed into a nip (N1) between the folding roller pair (223) while being folded. The blade member (222) is moved in a reciprocating manner by the rotation of the rotation driving unit (360). If the rotation load of the rotation driving unit (360) reaches a predetermined load or above while the blade member (222) is moving from the initial position (HP) to the protrusion position (TP), the direction of rotation of the rotation driving unit (360) is reversed, and the blade member (222) is returned to the initial position (HP). Damage to the blade member (222) when the paper sheet (T) is being folded is thereby minimized. In addition, the folding device (190) will not stop performing the processing action while the blade member (222) is inserted into the nip (N1).

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de pliage (190) qui comporte un élément de lame (222) et une paire de rouleaux de pliage (223). L'élément de lame (222) se déplace depuis une position initiale (HP) vers une position saillante (TP), la feuille de papier (T) étant poussée dans un resserrement (N1) entre les rouleaux de la paire de rouleaux de pliage (223) tout en étant pliée. L'élément de lame (222) est animé d'un mouvement de va-et-vient par la rotation de l'unité d'entraînement en rotation (360). Si la charge de rotation de l'unité d'entraînement en rotation (360) atteint une charge prédéterminée ou la dépasse pendant que l'élément de lame (222) se déplace depuis la position initiale (HP) vers la position saillante (TP), le sens de rotation de l'unité d'entraînement en rotation (360) est inversé, et l'élément de lame (222) est renvoyé à la position initiale (HP). Un endommagement de l'élément de lame (222) lorsque la feuille de papier est pliée est de ce fait réduit.
