La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil permettant de condenser la vapeur, ledit appareil comprenant au moins deux chambres (11, 12), la première chambre (11) faisant fonction de chambre de condensation à écoulement cocourant et la seconde chambre faisant fonction de chambre de condensation à écoulement à contre-courant, la chambre de condensation à écoulement cocourant comprenant un système de distribution de liquide de refroidissement (115) ayant une pluralité de canaux agencés au-dessus d'une pluralité de supports de film qui présentent des parties de surface plates pour supporter des films de liquide de refroidissement.
