The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a tool part for an injection molding process, a hot embossing process, nano-imprint process or an extrusion process. First, there is provided a master structure (10) with a surface area comprising nanometre-sized protrusions (11) with a minimum density of approximately 105 protrusions/mm2, the protrusions being positioned in a non- periodic, irregular pattern, said protrusions being created by a process comprising alternating passivation and etching into the master structure. Secondly, there is made a transfer of the master structure into a metal insert (20), the metal insert having a corresponding nanometre-sized pattern (21) from said protrusions, and thirdly, adapting the metal insert into a tool part (30) for enabling nanometre- sized patterns being formed by the tool part. The invention provides an easier and faster way of manufacturing the master structure, e.g. a black silicon wafer. It is a further advantage of the present invention that it provides an advantageous way of making tools capable of producing self-cleaning surfaces without the need for chemical coating.

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé destiné à fabriquer une partie d'outil pour un processus de moulage par injection, processus d'embossage à chaud, processus de nano-impression ou processus d'extrusion. Premièrement, on dispose d'une structure principale (10) ayant une superficie comprenant des saillies (11) de la taille du nanomètre avec une densité minimale d'approximativement 105 saillies/mm2, les saillies étant positionnées selon un motif irrégulier non périodique, lesdites saillies étant créés par un processus comprenant la passivation et la gravure en alternance dans la structure principale. Deuxièmement, un transfert de la structure principale dans un insert métallique (20) est réalisé, l'insert métallique ayant un motif (21) de la taille du nanomètre correspondant depuis lesdites saillies, et troisièmement, une adaptation de l'insert métallique dans une partie (30) d'outil pour permettre la formation de motifs de la taille du nanomètre par la partie d'outil est réalisée. L'invention offre une manière plus facile et plus rapide de fabriquer la structure principale, par exemple une plaque de silicium noir. Un autre avantage de la présente invention est qu'elle offre une manière avantageuse de créer des outils pouvant produire des surfaces autonettoyantes sans avoir de besoin de revêtement chimique.
