Abstract:
(EN) A control mechanism for a tungsten electrode (10) welding torch which allows a full length of tungsten (10) to be loaded and accurately fed to the welding torch. The control mechanism comprises an attachment means for attachment to the welding torch; a body portion having a throughbore, the body portion being connected to the attachment means; a tube moveable longitudinally within the bore of the body portion, the tube having an internal recess suitable to receive an electrode (10) for a welding torch, an end face at its far end relative to the attachment means, the end face suitable to abut with said electrode (10), preferably a sheath including said electrode (10), and the tube having an external thread mounted thereon. Benefits are that the electrode (10) may be accurately fed to the torch, and a full length of tungsten housed within the control mechanism and torch.
(FR) L'invention concerne un mécanisme de commande destiné à une tête de soudage à électrode en tungstène (10) qui permet de charger et d'alimenter avec précision une longueur complète de tungstène (10) à la tête de soudage. Le mécanisme de commande comprend un moyen de fixation destiné à être fixé à la tête de soudage ; une partie de corps comportant un orifice traversant, la partie de corps étant reliée au moyen de fixation ; un tube mobile longitudinalement au sein de l'orifice de la partie de corps, le tube comportant un dégagement interne approprié pour recevoir une électrode (10) pour une tête de soudage, une face extrême au niveau de son extrémité éloignée par rapport au moyen de fixation, la face extrême appropriée pour venir en butée avec ladite électrode (10), de préférence une gaine incluant ladite électrode (10), et le tube comportant un filetage externe monté dessus. Les avantages sont que l'électrode (10) peut être alimentée avec précision à la tête, et qu'une longueur complète de tungstène est logée au sein du mécanisme de commande et de la tête.
