Abstract:
A lithium ion cell (20) has a structure in which a positive electrode (3) and a negative electrode (6) are opposed, with a solid electrolyte layer (21) therebetween. The positive electrode (3) is constituted by an aggregate of positive electrode particles (4) of a particulate positive electrode active material (1) the surfaces of which are covered by a mixed conduction layer (2). The negative electrode (6) is constituted by an aggregate of negative electrode particles (7) of a particulate negative electrode active material (7) the surfaces of which are covered by a mixed conduction layer (2). The mixed conduction layer (2) is constituted by a particulate solid electrolyte (9) and a particulate conductive additive (10). The solid electrolyte layer (21) is constituted by an aggregate of a particulate third solid electrolyte (22). The lithium ion cell (20) constituted in this manner can provide a secondary cell that is highly safe and has higher rate characteristics than the prior art, and that can minimize the decline in charge-discharge cycle characteristics occurring with use.
