Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the surface-optimized supply of combustion air into the primary heating chamber of a coking oven chamber of the "non-recovery" or "heat-recovery" type, by means of which the gas chamber above the coal cake provided for coking in a coking oven chamber is supplied with combustion air via a pipe led through the gas chamber in the longitudinal direction and having an air inlet opening, such that the air reaches the gas chamber above the coke cake directly and, as a result, improved combustion takes place in the gas chamber as a result of more intensive mixing of the combustion air with the coking gas. The invention also relates to an apparatus for implementing the method which is formed from a coking oven having a coking oven chamber that operates in accordance with the "non-recovery" or "heat recovery" method, of which the coking oven chamber is equipped with a gas chamber provided above the coal cake for partial combustion of the coking gas, and through which at least one pipeline having at least one air outlet opening for introducing combustion air is led.
