Abstract:
The present invention is an electricity meter that forms, with one or more data collection devices for collecting electrical energy consumption data, a wireless mesh network, the electricity meter being provided with: a wireless communication means (wireless unit (51), data relay processing unit (53)) for transmitting the amount of electricity consumed by a customer to the data collection device selected as a data transmission destination, the transmission being performed directly or via another adjacent electricity meter; a wireless communication controller (57) for determining whether or not the home device has moved on the basis of the presence or absence of a variation in the number of adjacent electricity meters and in the reception level of a signal transmitted from each of the adjacent electricity meters; and a switch (62) for discontinuing the operation of the circuit supplying power to the customer if it is determined that the home device has moved.
