(EN)A molded part that is formed from a thermoplastic composition that contains a polylactic acid, propylene/α-olefin copolymer, and a polyolefin compatibilizer is provided. The propylene/α-olefin copolymer can be dispersed as discrete physical domains within a continuous matrix of the polylactic acid. Without intending to be limited by theory, it is believed that the discrete domains can help resist the expansion of the composition during a molding operation, which minimizes the degree of expansion experienced by the composition during molding in comparison to conventional polylactic acid compositions.
(FR)Cette invention concerne une pièce moulée qui est formée à partir d'une composition thermoplastique qui contient un acide polylactique, un copolymère de propylène/α-oléfine, et un agent de compatibilité polyoléfinique. Le copolymère de propylène/α-oléfine peut être dispersé sous la forme de domaines physiques discrets dans une matrice continue de l'acide polylactique. Sans vouloir être limité par la théorie, on pense que les domaines discrets peuvent contribuer à résister à l'expansion de la composition lors d'une opération de moulage, ce qui réduit au minimum le degré d'expansion subie par la composition lors du moulage comparativement aux compositions d'acide polylactique classiques.
