Abstract:
The subject of the present invention is a current-measuring device (21) for measuring the current (ILB) flowing in a high-voltage conductor (5), said device (20) being characterized in that it comprises: - a Faraday sensor (1) comprising a waveguide (4) mounted around said conductor (5), said Faraday sensor (1) providing a first digital signal (si) representative of the value of said current and the value of which depends on a variable coefficient (à), termed a Faraday coefficient; - a measuring shunt (21) mounted in series with said conductor (5) providing a second digital signal (S2) representative of the value of said current as a function of said shunt ratio (R(f)); - calculation means (23) receiving as input the two digital signals (S1, S2) and adapted for extracting a first DC component (S1) from said first digital signal and a second DC component (S2) from said second digital signal and for calculating the value of said Faraday coefficient (à) on the basis of these components, said calculation means being adapted for obtaining said current (ILB) on the basis of the value thus calculated of said Faraday coefficient and of said first digital signal (S1).
